The Benefits Of Muscle Building Programs

Developing your muscles has many important health benefits other than looking good on the beach.

Muscular fitness can be defined as the strength, muscular endurance and flexibility to perform daily tasks and avoid injury.

How you will achieve a certain degree of muscular development depends on a multitude of factors. One thing is clear, however: a program that includes weight lifting and weight-bearing aerobic activity is essential.

Even if you decide you do not need muscle building for injury prevention, performance, or even bodybuilding, you should always consider a minimum program throughout your life. A minimum program for the maintenance of muscles will go a long way in preventing lower back and posture-related problems.

Furthermore, research shows that muscle-building programs can help prevent the gradual reduction of bone density more commonly known as osteoporosis.

Losing fat while building muscle

First of all, when you build muscle, automatically you reduce the percentage of body fat. You even look better. Muscle mass is about half as large as the mass of fat deposits.

This means that, while five pounds of fat is about the size of three grapefruits, five pounds of muscle is more like three tangerines. Therefore, if you exercise to lose weight, do not be surprised if you actually gain weight. This is not a bad thing! This means that you are the muscle mass and you'll look a lot slimmer than before.

Building muscle mass will also burn calories faster. Muscles use energy, fat simply stores it. So when you have more muscle, you will burn more energy and maintain a healthy body weight more easily.

You do not have to build a lot of muscle to get the benefits. Studies show that building only five pounds of muscle mass will make you healthier and better able to fight disease. It does not take much time to build muscle mass, either. Just 30 minutes three times a week is enough to achieve your goals in proper muscle building programs.

Thus, as shown not only does building muscle make us look and feel better too, but more importantly, building muscles can help us to live healthier and longer lives. Everyone should use some form of weight training so they too can enjoy some of the benefits of building muscle.

This concludes today's post. On Saturday we’ll be discussing how to get those six pack abs you've been dreaming of-the wrong way! Also you'll find out in our two part special about some deadly bodybuilding myths I'm pretty sure a lot of you aren't aware of(and more....). I have one question to ask you guys though, have you ever tried to turn your body from skinny to ripped(or shapely in the case of the girls) or if you’re like me you’ve been trying to lose weight so that you can fit into your skinny jeans again? If so then write about it in the comment box as I want to hear about it. We are all here to listen to one another's stories and to give support. Besides, I won’t bite (LOL). I wish you guys the best and hope that you’ll be safe until tomorrow.
